Our Pastor

Our community is diverse and gathers from great distances. All are equal, but most certainly we are spiritually guided by Michael Corso.

Michael Corso earned a Master of Divinity from Darlington Seminary, Mahwah, NJ where he began, and continues to focus an expertise in liturgical celebrations. As Chairperson of the Darlington Institute for Continuing Education (DICE), Michael led a program which invited lay women and men to take courses at the seminary. Ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ in 1983, Michael went on to serve at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, NJ as well as St Valentine Church, Bloomfield, NJ for five years. After leaving the active priesthood, Michael continued to remain involved in parish work at St. Brendan’s Parish in Clifton, NJ. He shared his expertise on liturgy committees, led baptismal preparation courses, gave homilies at children’s masses, and served as a parish trustee. Since 2008 Michael has reactivated his priesthood when he became involved with Sophia. Michael retired from higher education in July 2023 after 34 years. He is involved with FCM, VOTFNJ and Corpus.  Michael is also active as an Ally in Pathways for Prosperity, working alongside those in poverty to help them reach a more sustainable and joy-filled lifestyle.  Michael is married and together with his wife of 34 years, Teri, they have three sons.
